John Angus Chamberlain

 

John Chamberlain (John Angus Chamberlain, b. 1927 Rochester / IN; d. 2011 in New York) was a pioneer of Pop Art. From 1955-1966e he taught at Black Mountain College in Asheville. He produced films around the Warhol-Factory, New York and made sculptures and assemblages from pressed car scraps, called 'Instant Sculptures'.
